Seattle

Last weekend I met up with three of my close girlfriends (one of them is living in Seattle at the moment).  There were so many amazing pictures and stories, but here are some of the highlights.

Lunch at Purple.

Getting ready for a night out on the town. We ended up at Unicorn.

We woke up the next morning and decided to head down to Pike's Market. We decided to go to a local favorite- Lowells.

After we ate, we kept shopping in Pike's Market. We came across this amazing antique store (that I can't remember the name of)!

We really like to eat so we ended up at Top Pot Doughnuts.

The next day was beautiful and sunny. We walked around and enjoyed some great coffee.

Katharine was living right downtown and had an amazing apartment with a roof top patio. We decided to stay in that night and had a fantastic barbecue. The view was amazing and the sun was setting right as we ate. We played some good music and soaked up our last night together. It may have been my favorite part of the trip.

I have such lovely, beautiful friends and it was so nice to spend time with them in such a fun city.  Can't wait to see them again soon.

100th Post!

This will be my 100th post.  So I thought I would share some really beautiful things.  First up is this amazing new coat that I just found.  The color is stunning and the leather is extra soft.  I can't wait to cut this one out.

I was in Seattle last weekend with some girls and found my wedding shoes. It was something I really wanted to cross off the list. I am just noticing now that they are very similar to the color of the coat...I think I am drawn to sea foam type colors in the summer.

Next thing I wanted to share is a beautiful and thoughtful gift from my friend Brittany. She was visiting me in Vancouver back in February. I had mentioned to her while we were flee market shopping that I was looking for an antique ring box for my engagement/wedding rings. When I met up with her in Seattle last weekend she presented me with this. What an amazing friend!

I have some really fun pictures from Seattle that I will be posting soon. Happy long weekend to all my American readers!!

The spring coats come to life

Remember when I was so excited for spring and I found these? Well it is pretty much summer now and I just got around to cutting some of them out.

Here is the first bag I have made from them. This is a custom bag that a customer requested.

Lots of colourful leather left, so contact me if you want something!

More photos!

Ok friends.  I am going to post some more engagement photos in the next little while.  I feel weird posting so many photos of myself, but Mitch and Emma did such a beautiful job, and I want to showcase their talent.  So enjoy.

Cut!

I have been a bit busy this week so postings have been lacking. There will be lots of fun things to come soon (including some more engagement photos). Yesterday was a bit rainy so I decided to pop in a movie and cut out some leather. I cut two beautifully soft coats, one being a bold cobalt blue, and the other being a deep purple. Can't wait to make some bags. Pictures to follow soon.

Having talented friends pays off!

Darren and I have been engaged for almost 5 months now.  We didn't think we would do engagement photos because our wedding photographer does not live in Vancouver (more on her later).

Our very good friends Mitch and Emma are amazing photographers who just happen to be breaking out into the wedding business and they were happy to take some pictures of us.  It was a beautiful Sunday and a really fun day.  Go visit Mitch and Emma's blog.  Their pictures are amazing.

*Side note: Their company name is France Edward Photography. It is a combination of their middle names. How awesome is that?
